Welcome to the maginificent Rome Cavalieri Hotel! It opened its doors to international travellers in 1963 and has gained an reputation as one of the Eternal City's leading hotels. Part of the prestigious brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, the Rome Cavalieri joins an exclusive club of properties that are simply one-of-a-kind.
Lobby
The airy and bright main Lobby at the Rome Cavalieri is surrounded by famous artworks: three of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo's most important masterpieces on one side and two exquisitely crafted antique tapestries on the other. These museum-worthy artworks belong to the Hotel's private collection which are exhibited throughout the hotel.
Lobby and Concierge Desk
Above the impressive Concierge and Reception desks are a series of four masterpieces, measuring 2.8m x 1.5m each, by Giuseppe Zais, one of the greatest painters of Venetian landscapes of the 18th century. His paintings can also be found at London's National Gallery and in the museums of Berlin, Madrid and Venice.
Tiepolo lounge
Open all day and situated in the main lobby, the Tiepolo Lounge is the focal point of the Hotel and the perfect rendez-vous point for morning coffee, light lunches, snacks and drinks, also offering a refined selection of Whisky, Cognac, Armagnac and Grappa. With terraces extending outside, it is a quiet place for guests to meet and mingle.
L'Uliveto restaurant
On the garden side of the Rome Cavalieri, L'Uliveto restaurant overlooks the landscaped park adjacent to the outdoor pool, and offers a unique "al fresco" dining experience. Featuring Mediterranean and international dishes, its menu leans naturally towards Italian cuisine.
Grand Spa Café
To complement the treatments at the Rome Cavalieri exclusive Grand Spa, and to rejuvenate those working out in the gym, the Grand Spa Café offers a selection of healthy drinks and light meals, including freshly squeezed juices, fitness drinks, salads and fresh fruit. There is also a wonderful range of herbal teas and tisanes.
La Pergola restaurant
Headed by the award-winning Chef Heinz Beck, La Pergola is one of the best restaurants in Italy, awarded three Michelin stars for 10 consecutive years. A wine cellar with over 60,000 bottles, a water menu with 29 choices, olive oils and vintage balsamic vinegars from the best producers in Italy, and the finest ingredients - all attests to the pursuit of culinary excellence.
San Pietro meeting room
Close to the main lobby, the Sala San Pietro is the perfect setting for cocktail parties, buffet meals, exhibitions and product launches. This spacious even room of 240 sq. m./2,582 sq. ft. with its glass walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, is flooded with natural daylightith which reflects across white marble floors.
Ellisse meeting room
A unique oval-shaped room spread over 295 sq. m./3,150 sq. ft., decorated with a classical 'Roman' feel with a fixed stage and parquet dance floor, the Ellisse is an ideal choice for a theatrical or presentational aspect to your celebration. The Ellisse holds 250 guests at a reception and 150 for a seated banquet.
Terrazza degli Aranci
The Terrazza degli Aranci enjoys event room is ideal for receptions, cocktail parties, and banquets, and enjoys a stunning panorama of Rome with the Dome of St. Peter's prominent among the roofscapes. Glamorous, atmospheric and stylish, the Terrazza degli Aranci holds 300 people at a reception and 250 for a seated banquet.
Le Belle Arti event room
Le Belle Arti is an ideal setting for a gala dinner or a wedding banquet: 460 guests can dine at ease here. Over 460 sq. m./4,950 sq. ft. with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the hotel's park and the beautiful outdoor pool, the room leads out into a glass conservatory and beyond to a patio of olive trees.
Cavalieri Grand Spa Club
The 2,500 sq. m./26,900 sq. ft. Cavalieri Grand Spa Club offers 10 themed and individual treatment rooms, Turkish bath with hot and cold plunge pools, four swimming pools, hydro massage and whirlpools, a state-of-the-art Technogym™ with adjoining Pilates and Yoga rooms, two Davis Cup clay tennis courts and a 800m fitness circuit.
indoor pool
The Rome Cavalieri indoor pool sets beneath a beautiful glass dome: a fountain splashes into the hydro-massage pool, a Japanese stone walkway massages the soles of tired feet and a log fire burns in the fireplace. Three swimming pools, including a children's pool, are outdoors, nestled in the hotel's private 15-acre Mediterranean park.
Pool Bar and main pool
Located next to the Rome Cavalieri main outdoor pool, the Pool Bar is a fun place for a drink or a meal throughout the summer. Grilled vegetables, hamburgers, pizzas, Mediterranean dishes, juices and home-made ice creams all feature, as do special festive summer cocktails. Open from 1st May to 1st October daily, weather permitting.
Jacuzzi & Turkish Bath
At the centre of the Rome Cavalieri's Grand Spa is a magnificent amethyst Turkish Bath with marble platforms and Roman mosaics. Supplied with wet steam heat, it is a place to stretch out and allow muscles and mind to uncoil. Hot and cold plunge pools, with hydromassage elements, are on offer for stimulating contrasts.
Imperial Club
Available to guests who have reserved Imperial Rooms or Suites, the Imperial Club is situated on the 7th floor and offers comfortable sofas and arm chairs, where guests can meet, browse among a wide selection of newspapers and magazines, catch up on the news or sports on satellite TV channels, or simply relax with a good book.
King Deluxe Premium Rome View
Each Deluxe Room at the Rome Cavalieri is designed with sleeping and living areas, and comes with a range of stylish features like baths in Roman travertine marble, double soundproof door, LED TV 42-inch full HD with media hub as well as a spacious balcony for an "al fresco" breakfast or evening aperitifs.
Twin Imperial Rome View
The rooms on the two Imperial Floors have been designed for travellers who demand the very best. They offer a range of extras including separate check-in and lift, king-size "floating featherbeds", luxury toiletries and LED TV full HD with media hub. They also benefit from the use of our exclusive Imperial Club.
Corner Suite bedroom
The 87 sq. m./936 sq. ft. Corner Suites offer two separate rooms - for sleeping and living - the latter with a comfortable sofa, an armchair and a rare French antique writing desk. Full of light, accented with lovely blond wood, the Suite is decorated with original art and antiques, and comes with all the Rome luxury Hotel features.
Alcove Suite
Admire the combination of art and antiques in the spacious Alcove Suites. Spread over 76 sq. m./827 sq. ft., with a large balcony overlooking the Hotel's Mediterranean gardens, the Alcove Suites are decorated with original antique furniture, paintings and prints and offer a large walk-in closet as well as a 55-inch HD LED TV.
Vista Suite
With a classical theme throughout, the Vista Suites at the Rome Cavalieri have undergone complete refurbishment in order to offer an even more luxurious accommodation to guests.The Suites boast a large, elegant divan which easily converts into a comfortable, king-size bed looking directly out to the private balcony.
Napoleon Suite living room
Decorated with original Empire antiques, paintings and prints, the Napoleon Suite at the Rome Cavalieri is elegant enough for any emperor, and the ultimate in Rome luxury hotel accommodation. A grand Savonnerie carpet is laid over the teak parquet floors, while the silk and linen wall coverings are inspired by designs from the Palace of Caserta.
Petronius Suite bedroom
The largest suite of the Rome Cavalieri (246 sq. m./2,653 sq. ft), the Petronius Suite is furnished in classical style with rare 18th Century French antiques and adorned with some of the Hotel's most valuable works of art. It includes a large sitting room, a dining room that seats 8, 2 entrances and 4 balconies to enjoy the stunning views.
Planetarium Suite
With its ceilings spangled with fibre-optic stars, the Planetarium is the Rome Cavalieri's premier romantic retreat. It is a treasure chest of antique and contemporary works of art, including a Robert Indiana series, and boasts unique Karl Lagerfeld giant sofas. There are televisions in each room and a private roof terrace with a hot tub.
