Designed by Rees L. Jones, Naples Grande Golf Course offers a rewarding challenge to all levels, from the rookie to the scratch handicapper. Designed in Jones’ sympathetic style – a noted conservationist who has been a vocal champion of environmentally-friendly golf courses – its 18 holes wend their way through natural cypress and oak woods, finishing high atop a 30-acre lake in one of Florida’s most epic finishes. Housing along the course is notable by its absence, allowing players to immerse in nature and enjoy the feel of shooting the backwoods - while still enjoying every modern convenience that a Waldorf Astoria club provides.

A mix of parkland, woodland and lakeside environs, Naples Grande is unusual amongst south Florida courses, feeling closer to the rugged coastal courses of Ireland and Scotland - albeit the year-long pleasant Florida climate will come as a welcome benefit to those who can testify that the weather at Carnoustie or Royal County Down provides as much a battle as the courses themselves. Flagsticks are Laserlink equipped for ease and accuracy of tracking distance. Naples Grande Golf Course is subtly graded to ensure all skill levels are tested - the dogleg 9th and 11th feature conspicuous water hazarding, and the elevated promontary of the 16th and 18th provides a stiff test to the club professionals when the wind is up. Wide fairways and subtle greens that reward good short play ensure blasters and chippers alike enjoy an engrossing challenge.
