A hub for outdoor pursuits under the Florida sun, Naples offers world class golf, sport fishing and serves as a luxurious base from which to tour the rugged Everglades to the south.

Naples has more golf holes per capita than anywhere else in the country, and whether you want to play parklands, look for a course to challenge the short game, or simply enjoy views over the Gulf with a cold beer at the 19th hole, Naples offers an elegant solution. The world's premier designers have carved into the southwest Florida country -  Tom Fazio, Arthur Hills, Greg Norman and all of the "Big 3" - Palmer, Player and Nicklaus, have courses under the Naples sun.

The Paradise Coast is a hotspot for sport fishing, with Naples the home of a large number of boat charter firms organizing hunts for bounteous Gulf of Mexico fish. Snook, various species of grouper and snapper and barracuda are in these waters year round, with bull and blacktip sharks arriving April to September. Teach the kids ocean fishing in southwest Florida - many boats will provide kids with light tackle for them to duel with porgies, sheepsheads and mangrove snapper.

Naples is a short drive from the myriad attractions of the Florida Everglades. Generations of tourists have thrilled to airboat rides through the mangrove swamps, and more diverse options are now available - it’s possible to go sport fishing for tarpon in the rivers, take tours on horseback, and travel in jeeps into the territory of the Florida panthers.
